Guest Blog: Instagram Takeover by Frances Cassandra

Hey everyone! Frances from Frances Cassandra here. As some of you may already know, I have just returned from a glorious two-week holiday over in Singapore and the Philippines (the post-holiday-blues are now in full swing) but whilst I was there, I packed Rare away in my virtual suitcase and took them along on my travels via their Instagram. You can still take a peek at what I got up to whilst I was away by searching for the tag #Raretakeover on Instagram!

Whilst I was soaking up the sun, sightseeing and eating lots of amazing food, I was still trying to keep up my fashion game – luckily I had a few of Rare’s holiday-perfect pieces to take along with me. Here’s how I styled them!

Get Ready For Coachella 2014!

We love festival season –  the weather, food, laughter, music, dancing and most of all, the FASHION! The first Coachella weekend (American equal to Glastonbury – without the mud!) is around the corner and the line up has us green with envy. Nevertheless, we are excited to see what everyone is going to rock out in.

Here are some of our favourite past Coachella looks:

Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine never fails to impress. We are loving the two casual but totally chic outfits.

Vanessa Hudgens is our favourite Boho Babe: rocking the flower crowns and shades, her outfits embody cool and fun vibes

Who said models don’t have individual style?  We are loving the hats, bracelets, shorts, glasses and not to mention the gorgeous hair! These ladies have serious style points!

Whether blogging or acting, Ashley Madekwe never fails to impress. She represents the English fashionistas on the West Coast with her edgy yet delicate outfits. We cannot wait to see what she wears next.

Queen Bey’s little sister, Solange, has surely made herself Queen of the retro divas. We love her Afro and bold prints (look at those lemons!) We wonder what statement she is going to make this weekend!

Katy Perry wore the most talked about co-ords to the festival and she looked amazing! The prints and colour play gives this outfit major cool points. katy.jpg

One of our favourite things about spring/summer/festivals are flower crowns and anything flowery! These lovely ladies sure have the flower power and we can’t wait to see more variations this weekend.

Fishtail plaits, headbands, fringed bags/shoes, flared jeans and gypsy tops – this is not a scene from that 70’s show, however, these ladies are totally retro and festival fierce. 10-55a0852_zpsa091e62e.jpg

We have major love for Alexa Chung! We have previously shared our love for her and we shall continue doing so. She is a lover of all things festivals and she does them well. Her Glastonbury and Coachella wardrobes always leave us in awe. Check out that Leopard print!

Guest Blog: Scouse Bird in Rare London

Hello Scouse Bird again! Back once again like the renegade master – well not at all like that actually but I’m back here talking about the gorgeous clothes at Rare.

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock or out of the country for the past few weeks, it can’t possibly have escaped your attention that summer has been trying its hardest to elbow winter out the way and we’ve had a few days of beautiful weather. This can only mean one thing; it’s time to start looking at your summer wardrobe.

After having a fun photo shoot last month in Versailles in a Rare Peach Maxi Dress - in which it was nice to see several girls wearing at Aintree Grand National weekend (you all looked amazing!) – I decided to pick a couple of nice summer items and do the same along the banks of the beautiful River Mersey.

I’m really into white at the moment – it just looks so clean and fresh and I adore this laser cut out shirt which can be worn with so many things, but here I’ve paired it with a mesh strap skater dress. It would look great over a bustier with a fresh pair of high-waisted denims and heels too.

The other piece I’m loving at the moment is this Limited Edition nude sequin jumpsuit. As a tall girl, playsuits and jumpsuits are a potential minefield (can I get an amen from the tall sisterhood??) so I was both made up and shocked that this was actually a really nice fit.

Both outfits are just screaming for cocktails on the Matou terrace at the Pier Head.
Viva Summer! Bring on the tans!

XOXO
